We are an interconnected organisation that does big things because we collaborate with our members and support their work throughout the country.
Our mandate as the peak body for youth development means that we are responsible for building the capacity and capability of the youth development sector.

Ara Taiohi is kaitiaki of a number of foundational pou for the sector along with some important kaupapa. These include:
Mana Taiohi, the principles for youth development in Aotearoa;
the Code of Ethics for Youth Work;
Korowai Tupu, the professional association for youth workers;
Ngā Kaihoe;
Aotearoa Pacific Youth Network;
the biennial INVOLVE conference; and
Youth Week.
