Araticum

Araticum, Articulation for the Restoration of the Cerrado, is a collaborative and multi-sectoral network that works to monitor and promote large-scale ecological restoration of the Cerrado. Its vision of transformation is that of a conserved and restored Cerrado, with the preservation of ecosystem services, the reduction of social inequalities, the conservation of the bioma's socio-biodiversity, and the contribution to the maintenance of the global climate.

Among its objectives are to leverage the restoration of the different physiognomies of this biome, especially savannas and fields; as well as to strengthen local organizations, including governments, with technical, methodological, and political support, and to integrate the different sectors of society (including productive sectors).

Having a multi-sectoral movement like Araticum, which seeks to promote the conditions necessary for the development of the restoration chain, is essential to guarantee an integrated articulation that allows and leverages the effective implementation of public policies, strengthening and scaling up existing initiatives, but above all promoting new fronts of action, always respecting the diversity of the Cerrado and its regional arrangements.
