About Archives Society of Alberta

Vision: Archival work in Alberta is supported and championed.

Mission: We support the work of our members to meet the archival needs of their stakeholders.

Goals:
- Capacity: Both Alberta’s archival community and the ASA have access to the tools and networks needed to successfully address challenges.
- Advocacy: The value of archives is promoted and cultivated, and the value of the ASA is clear to the society’s members and partners.
- Engagement: Alberta’s archival community grows through relationship building and professional development.
- Reconciliation: The ASA and its members understand the important relationship between archival work and reconciliation, supporting self-determination and capacity building for Indigenous communities to acquire and preserve their records.

To support these goals, the ASA provides the following services:
• Advisory Services Program

• Online directory of member archival institutions in Alberta
