About Advanced Photon Source
The Advanced Photon Source (APS) is a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science user facility at DOE’s Argonne National Laboratory.
This premier national research facility provides ultra-bright, high-energy X-ray beams to more than 5,500 scientists from the United States and around the world in a typical year.
The APS is ideal for studying the arrangements of molecules and atoms, probing the interfaces where materials meet, determining the interdependent form and function of biological proteins, and watching chemical processes that happen on the nanoscale.
