About Arkbound Foundation
Based in Bristol and Glasgow, the Arkbound Foundation is a charity that aims to widen access to literature and improve diversity within the media industry.

We run projects that empower people from disadvantaged backgrounds to enter the publishing and media industry, start their own media outlets, and develop their writing to publishing standards.
We support and mentor aspiring authors to get published through our non-profit social enterprise Arkbound. We publish a diverse range of books by authors across the UK, focusing on stories with strong social or environmental themes. Many of our authors face barriers to publishing because of their backgrounds, and we work closely with mentors, literary agents, editors, and other partners to develop their skills and provide a platform for their voices to be heard.
The Arkbound Foundation principally works with people who have experienced social exclusion, including those who have faced homelessness, imprisonment and discrimination by virtue of their background, circumstance or personal characteristics. Our ethos is about empowerment, positive transformation and accessibility.
