Overview

About Armoloy (UK) Ltd

Armoloy enhances performance and protects against adverse environments, far exceeding the useful life span of the base metal alone. More specifically, Armoloy applies unique surfacing techniques that deposit a thin dense micro-nodular structured chromium directly to the base metal. Armoloy is most commonly applied where enhanced wear life, corrosion resisitance or reduced friction is required to provide better performance. Armoloy is a low-temperature, process based upon chrome-plating technology. Instead of using conventional chrome-plating solutions and parameters, the Armoloy process utilises a proprietary chemical solution. This solution and application process produce a very thin, dense chromium coating. Armoloy deposits a crack-free satin matte finish of 99.9 percent chromium on the base metal surface, compared to conventional chrome-plating which is 82 to 88 percent chromium range.
