About Arthur Mallon Foods
Our story began in a butcher's shop in Monaghan Town.
Arthur Mallon opened his doors with a simple aim: to make proper, tasty sausages. People have always been part of that story, from the customers who trusted us to the team who helped build the business.
More than 85 years later, we are proud to be Ireland's most awarded sausage maker, with over 160 national and international awards to our name. Today, we are based just outside the town where it all began, employing more than 170 people across every part of the business, from production and operations to commercial, marketing, finance, human resources, office support, procurement, logistics and planning.
Many have been with us for a decade or more, and some have followed family through the doors, just as we did. We remain deeply proud of where we come from, while continuing to grow with national reach, strong ambition and a clear commitment to the values that shaped us from the start.
We are proud members of the Bord Bia Origin Green programme, reflecting our commitment to responsible sourcing, sustainable growth and supporting the Irish food industry. We source 100% Irish pork from Bord Bia accredited suppliers and are proud to play our part in supporting Irish jobs, farmers and families. In 2024, we opened a brand-new facility to support our long-term growth. This year, we added new employee facilities, offices and an innovation hub, investing in the people, ideas and brands that will shape our future, including Mallon's, Hafner's, Olhausen's and Kearns.
