Overview
About ASCE Lehigh Valley Section
The first meeting of ASCE members interested in forming a local section was held on February 20, 1922 in Bethlehem, PA. Two additional meetings held in February and March of that year resulted in the drafting of a constitution and bylaws. In April 1922, ASCE approved the formation of the Section with twenty-two founding members. Officers were elected in June and the first regular meeting of the Section was held in October 1922. Four meetings were held per year until 1935 when it was expanded to six meetings.
The number of meetings has continued to expand, and today the Lehigh Valley Section of ASCE hosts meetings, continuing education programs, and social events throughout the year. All members of the local engineering community are welcome to attend ASCE events. We hope to see you at our next meeting.
