About Ascenion GmbH
Ascenion is an independent technology transfer company focussing on the life sciences.
We work closely with European public research institutions to ensure that promising scientific findings are identified, secured and brought to market to the benefit of society. On average, we evaluate 100 invention disclosures per year, handle 60 patent applications and negotiate some 60 revenue-generating cooperation and licensing agreements with industry. Moreover, we guide and support spin-offs on the road to independence.
Currently, we hold equity in more than 30 of these companies. All this has led to the founding of numerous new companies and the transfer of innovative medical approaches into approved drugs, changing the lives of thousands of patients.
