Aashayein, an initiative by the Asha Garg Charitable Foundation, is a heartfelt tribute to the late Asha Devi Garg, a compassionate soul who dedicated her life to helping those in need. Her passing at the age of 57 due to COVID-19 in June 2021 inspired her son, Ashish Garg, to establish this foundation to honor her legacy of kindness.
The foundation is committed to creating a brighter, equitable world through impactful initiatives:
1. A Home for Orphans: Building Futures with Love
We are building a self-sustainable orphanage to provide over 1,000 children with:
• Safe shelter
• Nutritious meals
• Quality healthcare
• Education and sports opportunities
Our goal is to empower them for independent, fulfilling lives.
2. Old-Age Home: Caring for the Forgotten
We aim to establish a nurturing home for over 200 elders who lack family support, offering:
• Comfortable living spaces
• Healthy meals
• Comprehensive healthcare
• Recreational activities
We believe every elder deserves respect, care, and dignity.
3. Food for All: Fighting Hunger, One Meal at a Time
Every Saturday, we distribute:
• Grocery bags
• Warm, freshly cooked meals
This initiative has brought relief and nourishment to thousands struggling with hunger and food insecurity.
4. Blanket Distribution: Warming Hearts
Over the past five years, we’ve distributed more than 10,000 blankets during North India’s harsh winters, saving lives and offering comfort.
5. Spreading Joy: Clothes, Books, and Toys for Orphans
Through donations, we bring happiness to children in orphanages, ensuring they feel cared for and cherished.
