The ASSERT Centre, College of Medicine and Health, University College Cork, is where education, training, research, and innovation are closely interlinked. ASSERT through the application of Technology Enhanced Learning including Simulation Based Training and Virtual Reality Based Training in its state-of-the-art healthcare training facilities, is dedicated to the improvement of patient safety and patient outcomes.

ASSERT aims to enhance and consolidate skills training in the technical and non-technical domains, either generic or discipline specific, at individual or at inter professional team level, to improve performance, improve patient safety, improve patient care and improve patient outcomes. ASSERT through its close links with academic, health and industry partners nationally and internationally, seeks to engage and link Academics, Business and Clinical researchers to combine in a true “ABC Ecosystem”.
