Assist ME

MISSION Assist ME empowers individuals with impaired mobility to regain their independence and quality of life. We achieve this by collecting, refurbishing, and providing high-quality mobility-related medical equipment that enhances comfort, function, and overall well-being. VISION We envision a community where mobility means independence, and every person—regardless of their circumstances—has access to the medical mobility equipment they need to live with dignity and freedom. HOW WE DO IT Through our all-volunteer model, we collect gently used and durable medical equipment, such as manual wheelchairs, bedside commodes, and tub transfer benches. We carefully refurbish these items and gift them at no cost to low-income, uninsured, or underinsured individuals across the greater Charlotte area.
