Founded in 1904, the Association des archivistes français (AAF)/Association of French Archivists now includes more than 3000 professionals in both public and private sectors.
Aware of the challenge of mastering documentary production and the information it contains in the contemporary world, eager to make the voice of the profession heard in the face of the challenges it faces, The Association aims to study questions concerning archives and archivists, as well as the promotion and defense of the interests of the profession, by all appropriate means.
It thus defines itself as a permanent body of reflection, training and initiative at the service of the sources of our memory, those of yesterday and those of tomorrow.
