About Association of Compliance Officers in Greece - ASCO Greece
The Association of Compliance Officers in Greece (ASCO Greece) is the official association for the country’s compliance executives. Its main purpose is to promote and disseminate the operational framework for Compliance and to strengthen the role of Compliance Managers within the Greek business environment.
Founded in May 2016, ASCO Greece serves the following objectives:
• to promote the profession of Compliance Manager;
• to provide continuous information and education to its members on the institutional framework, conduct of business rules and methodologies of Compliance as well as Anti-money laundering;
• to promote the Association’s members’ positions related to Compliance in general;
• to submit proposals in order to improve the conduct of business rules for Compliance and Anti-money laundering, based on international standards;
• to inform its members and third parties on matters associated with Compliance and Anti-money laundering at the Greek and international level;
• to identify Principles and Standards that promote Compliance;
• to disseminate to the general public the importance of Compliance for organizations, the Greek economy and society;
• to develop partnerships with business and institutional bodies in Greece and abroad;
• to represent the Association before the State and authorities; and
• to foster networking and solidarity amongst its members.
