About AstroFarms
AstroFarms focuses its activities on selected sectors:
1) In-situ resource utilization oriented towards the microbiome through the cultivation of adapted potato varieties in lunar and Martian regolith simulants.
2) Advanced life support systems: Engineering microorganisms for the production of natural compounds on demand, including antibiotics, drugs, and secondary metabolites.
3) Well-being of astronauts and people on Earth: Utilizing microorganisms as biofactories to provide optimal nutrition for future space station inhabitants, as well as people on Earth (new drugs, cosmetics, natural products).
Our team consists of former NASA employees and collaborators: microbiologists and biotechnologists, as well as business developers with experience in European, American, and Asian markets.
