Atapuerca Foundation

Atapuerca Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Spain (Ibeas de Juarros, Burgos), 3 km away from the Atapuerca archaeological sites, classed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Atapuerca Foundation was established to support the Atapuerca Research Project, to spread information about it, and to ensure the continuity of the archaeological excavations and of the associated scientific work.

Some 100 institutions -mostly private but also from the public sector- back the Atapuerca Project through Atapuerca Foundation, as well as many individuals who provide their personal support to the Atapuerca Project's contribution in enlarging knowledge about Human origins and evolution.
