Overview
About Auckland Women's Centre
There is courage in the collective - Auckland Women's centre has been creating spaces and support systems for women in Auckland for almost 50 years.
Feminism has changed significantly over the past 50 years, with women's movements becoming a driving force for economic empowerment and democracy. Some say that feminism has achieved a lot, however, women still face a multitude of inequalities such as pay inequality, gender-based violence, and rigid social expectations, not to mention heightened intersectional inequities across communities.
AWC is a community for all women to gather, share experiences, and build lasting connections through shared experiences, support and empowerment.
