Augustine Literacy Project-Charlotte

ALP-Charlotte's mission is to improve the reading, writing, and spelling skills of young, aspiring readers in under-resourced communities by providing free, long-term, one-on-one instruction from highly trained tutors. ALP provides tutors with initial training followed by ongoing support. No experience or previous training is necessary and ALP provides everything needed to help a student unlock reading. Tutors commit to working twice weekly with a student and deliver intensive tutoring sessions, virtual or in-person. 90-95% of students who receive the intervention improve their reading skills.
