About AustChina Institute
AustChina Institute (ACI) is Australia’s only independent think tank dedicated to the Australia–China relationship. Established in 2024, ACI provides policymakers, businesses, and the public with unbiased, data-driven research to navigate one of Australia’s most consequential international partnerships.
Our mission is to foster informed, balanced dialogue on Australia–China relations through rigorous analysis across four key pillars:
🔹Economy & Trade
🔹Security & Geopolitics
🔹Bilateral Relations
🔹Technology, Science & Climate Action
ACI operates as a not-for-profit that bridges academia, industry, and government, offering strategic insights, policy recommendations, and thought leadership that challenge assumptions and cut through polarised narratives.
By promoting evidence-based understanding, ACI aims to strengthen Australia’s sovereign knowledge on China, support national interests, and create pathways for future experts in China studies.
