About Austrade North America | Australian Trade and Investment Commission

The Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) is Australia’s trade and investment promotion agency.

In North America, Austrade works with Canadian, American and Australian businesses across a range of government priority sectors of strategic importance to each of these three countries. Priority sectors include advanced technology, clean energy, infrastructure, space and advanced manufacturing, fintech, cyberscurity, digital technologies, defence, health, and agribusiness.

We help companies from Canada and the United States to establish and invest in Australia and are responsible for the promotion, attraction, and facilitation of productive foreign direct investment (FDI) into Australia across the government’s key priority sectors.

We support Australian exporters explore opportunities in North America, helping companies assess the size of the market, customer demand, technical requirements, and opportunities for partnering or expanding existing operations throughout North America. Austrade also works with industry groups from Canada and the United States to understand where Australian products and services can add value to the North America.
