About Australian Association of Gerontology
AAG is Australia’s only independent, impartial membership organisation whose over-arching aim is to improve the experience of ageing by connecting research, policy and practice. Our members include researchers, educators, policy makers, health professionals, service providers and advocates for older adults.
We have well established Divisions in every State and Territory of Australia, a dedicated Student and Early Career Group, and ten special interest groups. We bring together collaborating research centres at universities and institutes across Australia, facilitate the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Ageing Advisory Group (ATSIAAG), and represent Australia’s gerontology community internationally.
Our vision is a world where every person is valued, heard, seen and respected as we age. Our purpose to build a community of experts connecting evidence and experience to inform and influence decisions related to ageing. Join us.
