About Australian College of Mental Health Nurses
Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (ACMHN) is the professional body for 25,000 mental health nurses across Australia. It is governed by a Board of Directors and has its national office in Canberra.
As one of the Peak Nursing bodies in Australia, ACMHN works with Federal and State/Territory governments and departments to help empower Mental Health Nurses (MHNs) in their careers.
ACMHN is a key member of nursing groups and represents the interests of MHN through the International College of Nursing (ICN). The College conducts significant events and recently held a sold out Conference in Melbourne themed "Unleash the Potential".
ACMHN’s Credential for Practice Program (CPP) is operated under the Credentialing for Nurses (C4N) collaborative which has implemented a nationally standardised professional credentialing mechanism, by which registered nurses can be recognised as specialist nurses within their area of practice.
