About Automatic Control and System Dynamics
ACSD is a lab attached to the Electrical Engineering and Information Technology of the University of Technology Chemnitz. The research in the lab has a strong focus on controller development for the full cycle starting from system modelling to the end application. It focuses on development of control theoretic methods in the following areas:
optimal and learning-based control for nonlinear systems, analysis of uncertain, dynamical systems using set-based methods, hierarchical, optimal and fault-tolerant control and formal verification of control systems.
Being responsible for several foundation lectures in the area of automatic control, systems theory and systems modeling as well as numerous other offerings for students of distinct faculties, the laboratory plays a key role in teaching at the TU Chemnitz. Via specialization courses—most held in English language—connections to current research and new appeals are put across. Motivation for independent research of our students is provided by group projects and small tasks.
