About Africa Young Scientists (AYS)

Africa Young Scientists (AYS) is a Non-profit Organization founded in 2014 by Philip A. Adeniyi, Ph.D. It aims to unite, mentor and promote young scientists from Africa in exploring science, technology, and innovation. AYS expanded in 2019 to bring together young, brilliant, and innovative scientists across Africa to pave the way for innovations benefiting humanity. AYS aims to fill mentorship gaps between upcoming scientists and older generations, especially for female scientists. The organization strives to inspire and empower African youth to embrace science and technology, and to use their skills to address societal challenges while contributing to sustainable development.
