About Al Baraka Oilfield Services SAOC
Established in 2011 as a Super Local Community Contractor (SLCC), Al Baraka Oilfield Services SAOC represents over 1,200 Omani shareholders from the Wilayat of Shaleem and Al Halaniyat Islands in Dhofar Governorate. The company plays a key role in supporting Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) operations in Block 6, with two core divisions: Workover Rig Operations and Off-Plot Delivery Contract (ODC) Services.
Al Baraka operates 10 Workover Rigs across South Oman (Marmul, Nimr, Bahja)—6 Electric and 4 Conventional—and recently commissioned 5 Flush-By Units (FBUs). By early 2026, 4 new Electric Workover Rigs (EWRs) will be added in North Oman, taking the fleet to 19 units (4 Conventional + 10 EWR + 5 FBUs), establishing Al Baraka as a reputed technological leader in Oman’s oilfield services sector.
The ODC Division manages EPCC of flowlines, pipelines, and wellhead connections in Bahja and Rima, integrating civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation scopes. To date, the company has completed 2,100 km of flowline welding, 750 well hook-ups, and 680 well constructions, while maintaining over 1 million LTI-free man-hours.
Al Baraka is the first SLCC to achieve OPAL Certification and holds ISO 9001:2015, ISO 29000, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and IADC accreditation, underscoring its commitment to quality and safety. It is also the first in the region to introduce Electric Workover Rigs.
With nearly 90% Omanisation in its Hoist Division, Al Baraka invests in national talent development through accredited training in civil, mechanical, HSE, and procurement disciplines. Its AI-based AMAN system strengthens HSE performance through predictive safety analytics.
