Overview

About Biochar Europe

Biochar Europe (BCE) is an association of biochar producers, biochar production plant manufacturers, wholesalers, and refiners. We support environmentally friendly solutions for agriculture, industry, and the construction sector, based on locally sourced, renewable resources.

Turning waste streams into valuable resources is central to our work. We focus on growing the biochar industry at European level and supporting biochar as a pathway to net carbon sinks at scale.

Our network includes 130+ member organisations across 25 countries, active since 2019, working through five working groups.

Membership is open to organisations across the biochar value chain (we do not accept individuals), with non-European applicants considered on a case-by-case basis.
