About Birmingham Tech Council
The Birmingham Tech Council is a dynamic collaboration between Central Six AlabamaWorks! and TechBirmingham, aimed at fostering innovation, workforce development, and economic growth in the region. This council brings together employers, training providers, and young adults/early tech talent, combining their expertise to cultivate Central Alabama's tech talent pipeline, support local tech companies, and driving community engagement in technology and innovation.
BTC Desired Outcome:
A well-coordinated and integrated pipeline producing, recruiting, and retaining diverse world class tech talent at various levels in Central Alabama.
BTC Mission:
To intentionally build relationships with and source talent from diverse spaces including beyond the traditional 4 year model at an earlier stage
The BTC's work is made possible through the Generation Work grant by the National Fund for Workforce Solutions and the Annie E. Casey Foundation.
