About B-K
Nestled between Frihamnen’s docks, surrounded by Stockholm’s distinctive water views, is B-K. B-K is an old soul who is now being born again, set to become one of Stockholm’s largest cultural and evens spaces with room for up to 3750 guests. B-K will host two indoor stages, four bars, dreamy production solutions and a large outdoor area.
The building was established in 1927 for Banan-kompaniet, a banana importation and handling business. The premises gave the banana bizz access to their own quay and a warehouse big enough to fit 20 000 banana logs. The property was set with architectural beauty and would become known as The Banana Palace due to its castle-ike design. Still today, the premises welcomes you through its majestical foyer flooded with natural light, into its grand main room. At almost xx meters long and xx meters wide, the main room is a warehouse-style space with an authentic industrial profile and original details such as textured brick walls and concrete floors.
Fast forward some 95 years - long after the bananas had gone on to other adventures - the building is now a part of the Kulturarenor-family. The same family as sister venues Fållan, Trädgården, Eden and Färgfabriken. And as if B-K wasn’t enough, she’s just got a brand new baby brother - her own brewery B-K Brewing Co around the corner.
