About Heinrich Böll Foundation Tunisia
Promoting democracy, protecting human rights, advancing gender equality, and safeguarding the environment – these are the objectives that drive the ideas and actions of the Heinrich Böll Foundation. We are committed to socio-economic justice, ecological sustainability, and peaceful conflict resolution and a cornerstone of our work is gender democracy: fostering social and political emancipation and equal rights for all genders.
The Heinrich Böll Foundation is affiliated with the German Green Party (Alliance 90/The Greens). Despite this affiliation, the foundation works independently and upholds intellectual freedom and pluralism in all its work.
The Tunisia office is based in Tunis and has been active since 2013 as one of the foundation's 34 offices worldwide. We collaborate with democratic actors in Tunisia and the region who share our values. As a platform for critical ideas and a catalyst for green and feminist initiatives, we build partnerships grounded in openness, creativity, and solidarity.
