Boston Science Fiction Film Festival

Now in its 49th year, Boston SciFi is the longest running genre film festival in the country. It began back in the 1970s at the legendary Orson Welles Cinema. It has survived fires, blizzards and pandemics to become an award winning event. It is an in-person & on-line event with features, shorts, workshops, networking and parties. Some of the highlights are the opening night dance. in 2024 it is the Cyberpunk Ball. Our workshops feature people who create films & shows like The Mandalorian, Andor and more.
