About Building Resilient - ICITECH
The Building Resilient research group performs research within the framework of the Concrete Science and Technology Institute (ICITECH) of the Universitat Politècnica de València and aim to improve the resilience of our society by making buildings and bridges more resilient. Our combined basic and applied research focuses on the structural engineering field.
We work in the following thematic areas:
1) Structural retrofitting
2) Structural assessment
3) Learning from failures
4) Progressive collapse and robustness
Our research is usually associated with ambitious experimental campaigns, including many on full-scale structures. We combine basic and applied research, with a high degree of transfer to industry.
