About Cabot Learning Federation
The Cabot Learning Federation (CLF) is a diverse multi-academy trust spanning five cluster areas in the South West of England: Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire, Bristol, North Somerset and Somerset.
We currently sponsor 11 secondary academies, 17 primary academies, an all-through provision, a studio school, a post-16 provision and five specialist and alternative provisions. In total, we cater for almost 19,000 young people aged from two to 19.
The CLF journey began in September 2007 when John Cabot Academy and Bristol Brunel Academy were opened on the same day. In September 2009, we were joined by Bristol Metropolitan Academy (BMA) and the CLF was formed, jointly sponsored by Rolls Royce PLC and the University of the West of England.
The core purpose of the CLF today, is much as it was then; a drive to create educational excellence and enhance the life prospects of young people through the embodiment of our trust’s HEART values.
Our vision is simple: we believe that by working together rather than in isolation we can accelerate school improvement and embed excellence in our academies. In doing so we create more opportunities for lifelong success of our students as they become young adults.
Strategic goals include investment in people and partnerships, and an ethos of decision-making through the lens of disadvantage. Together, these policy strands underpin our broader ambition of delivering Equity Through Education.
Working within the Federation, you will benefit from excellent peer support from colleagues in similar roles and great opportunities for continuing professional development. You can expect positive challenge, a supportive environment to succeed within and, in the longer term, further career opportunities across the trust.
