About Cacaolab

Cacaolab was founded in 2012 as an R&D company and spin-off of Ghent University. The company strongly focuses on Innovation and Training from Bean to Praline by translating fundamental science into practical solutions and applications for third parties all over the world.

Cacaolab provides support to a diverse range of companies varying from SMEs to multinationals in the cocoa and chocolate manufacturing and processing industry, but also to B2B ingredient and processing equipment manufacturers.

On a bilateral and confidential basis, Cacaolab offers R&D and consulting services to solve your problem or design your product or process. Our team of experts also regularly organizes science-driven courses, seminars and workshops on Cocoa and Chocolate Processing. In addition, the company offers tailor-made trainings upon request.

Cacaolab is mainly - but not exclusively - working in the following areas:

🍫 Reformulation & health
🍫 Reformulation & cost optimization
🍫 Stability & quality

🍫 Innovative processing

With the establishment of the International Open Innovation Center on Cocoa and Chocolate Processing in 2021, Cacaolab wants to become the center of gravity for cocoa- and chocolate-related research and training worldwide.
