• To actively engage with the business community to increase Chamber membership.

• To establish effective partnerships with other organisations who have a key role to play in the development of a successful economy.
• To promote the region as a great place to do business to potential customers and inward investors. And to “manage the message” both internally and externally.
• To develop support services for business start-ups to increase entrepreneur success rates.
• To encourage members to do more business to business trade and to collaborate to secure work from outside the region.
• To lobby relevant bodies on key business issues that affect the entrepreneurship of members and the wider business community.
• To identify commercial opportunities which capitalise on the skills and facilities in the region.
• To develop a database that captures the skills and facilities within the region.
