About Campaign to End Loneliness

We believe that people of all ages need connections that matter.

Since 2011, the Campaign to End Loneliness has worked at the forefront of loneliness and connection. Our approach is underpinned by the belief that people of all ages need connections that matter, guided by our vision that everyone can live a life free from chronic loneliness.

From 2020 to 2024, we were hosted by the What Works Centre for Wellbeing. During this time we had three priorities:

· Developing evidence to make a practical difference.
· Bringing together the community of organisations who care about the issue to share their expertise and experience.
· Making the case for action on loneliness across society.

As the only organisation devoted solely to loneliness, we had significant research and policy expertise, and were regularly commissioned by public sector organisations for both qualitative and quantitative research.

As of 1st May 2024, the Campaign to End Loneliness website and assets are hosted by the Centre for Loneliness Studies at Sheffield Hallam University.
