Canada-Mathare Education Trust (CMETrust)

Canada-Mathare Education Trust provides scholarships to secondary and post-secondary students from the Mathare Valley slum in Kenya. Our volunteers raise funds and awareness on education and urban poverty.

CMETrust currently provides 60 secondary school scholarships, and has 60 alumni. We are also supporting five post-secondary scholars.

Founded in 2006, CMETrust is an entirely volunteer-run, registered Canadian charity with chapters in Ottawa and Toronto. We are a proud member of the Ontario Council for International Cooperation.
