About Canada in India, Nepal & Bhutan | Canada en Inde, au Népal et au Bhoutan

Canada and India have longstanding bilateral ties, built upon shared values of democracy and pluralism, and strong people-to-people links. Canada was one of the first countries to establish diplomatic ties with India post-independence.

Canada is represented in India by the High Commission in New Delhi. Canada also has Consulates General in Bengaluru, Chandigarh and Mumbai; a Consulate in Kolkata; and Trade Offices in Ahmedabad, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata. While Canada has a Consulate in Nepal, the High Commission in India also represents Canadian interests in Nepal and Bhutan.

We employ more than 450 people, a mix of locally-based staff and diplomats from Canada. One of Canada’s largest diplomatic missions, the High Commission reflects the deep historic ties between Canada and India.

We regularly announce available job opportunities through this page and hope you will find it a useful tool to apply for a career with us.
