Caresilk

Caresilk S.r.l.s. is an innovative start-up company founded in March 2018, based in Lecce in the Technological District “Dhitech”. Caresilk has developed innovative techniques for the extraction of proteins (fibroin and sericin) from silkworms cocoons and has also developed and patented a revolutionary method to obtain intrinsically antibacterial silk directly by the silkworm. Although very young, thanks to the specific skills of the team and the long experience of the founding members, Caresilk offers professional expertise in bioengineering and biotechnology and in the development of innovative products for pharmaceutical and cosmetic fields.
