About Caribbean FRENZ
The Aotearoa New Zealand - Caribbean Facility for Renewable Energy (FRENZ)
FRENZ is supported by the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) through its International Development Cooperation. Our primary partnership is with CARICOM, and we work with member states including Dominica, St Lucia, St Vincent & the Grenadines, Grenada, along with regional organisations including OECS, CDB & CCREEE. The programme has potential to expand into Belize, Guyana and Jamaica.
FRENZ is delivered by Cowater International in association with JRG Energy and Elemental Group. These suppliers leverage Aotearoa New Zealand’s geothermal and renewable energy expertise to respond to local needs and priorities. FRENZ can provide:
 Geothermal development support including project planning, technical studies and fieldwork
 Formal capacity building through training, internships and study tours
 Capacity supplementation and informal capability building through in-house advisors
 Renewable energy technical assistance, reviews and advisory to unlock funding from development partners
 Gender-focussed renewable energy initiatives
