About Caribbean Institute of Nuclear Imaging (ICIN)
The Caribbean Institute of Nuclear Imaging (ICIN) was founded with a clear ambition: to offer an integrated patient journey and become a worldwide center of excellence in nuclear imaging diagnosis and treatment.
Established in 2021 under the auspices of Martinique University Hospital Center, ICIN’s facilities feature state-of-the-art equipment all in one site, enabling faster detection, diagnosis, and treatment of numerous pathologies including cancer for patients from Martinique, the Caribbean islands, and beyond.
ICIN uses cutting-edge multimodality imaging technology, at the top of world-class standards :
- A latest generation cyclotron (18MeV) and radiopharmaceuticals’ laboratory capable of producing several radioisotopes needed for cancer diagnosis: 18 F-FDG, 18F-PSMA, 18F-DOPA, and 18F-Choline,
- Two PET CT Scans, including a QUADRA PET CT (106cm Long Axial Field of View), enabling whole-body scans,
- A PET mpMRI with an MRI Robot-assisted system for precise prostate cancer biopsies,
- A hybrid Gamma Camera and two CZT Gamma Cameras,
- Two ultrasound scanners,
- Two effort rooms.
Our devices enable to superpose Ultrasound / MRI / PET images for multimodality target biopsy,
Innovation is part of our DNA. ICIN serves both as a patient care facility and as a research center. With over 50 top notch staff members, we keep growing and offering long-term career opportunities in nuclear medicine. Additionally, the institute actively trains the next generation of international researchers and doctoral students through R&D projects and university partnerships.
Join us in our mission of excellence and innovation in Healthcare in the Caribbean!
