About Château Guiraud

• 1st Grand Cru Classé 1855 •

Founded in 1766 by Pierre Guiraud, this exceptional estate is renowned for its great sweet wines, a true tribute to the magic of noble rot, as well as for its high-quality dry white wines. The property has always embraced an avant-garde and rebellious spirit, symbolized by its black and gold label created in 1893 in honor of Napoleon I.

In 1983, the Château adopted pioneering ecological principles, reflecting its forward-thinking vision of sustainability. This environmental approach, carried on by Terres de Natures, was further strengthened with the arrival of Matthieu Gufflet in 2022, who introduced an eco-friendly wine tourism offer, crowned by the Best of Gold 2022 (Best of Wine Tourism International - Great Wine Capitals).

In this ongoing dialogue with nature, man and nature work together slowly to shape the vintages over centuries, creating elegant wines that are the result of Sandrine Garbay's expertise and her relentless pursuit of excellence.
