About CICWQ-Construction Industry Coalition On Water Quality
CICWQ is a 501(c)(6) non-profit group of trade associations representing builders and trade contractors, home builders, labor unions, landowners, and project developers working in California.
CICWQ (Construction Industry Coalition On Water Quality) was established to protect the construction industry from the potentially devastating impact of lost revenues and reduced wages that may be caused by the rapidly evolving set of water quality regulations that are not scientifically driven or evidence-based. CICWQ represents the interests of the construction industry working on transportation, public and private infrastructure including water, sewer, flood control, and stormwater within California. Our advocacy supports public works and private commercial, retail, and single and multi-family housing development sectors.
For our member associations, companies, business owners, and stakeholders, we emphasize the impact of water quality regulations, policies, and the value of regional solutions for urban water quality improvements, and water supply reliability. With major funding from the Construction Industry Advancement Fund and the Fund for Construction Industry Advancement, CICWQ has successfully placed the construction and building industries in a position to influence the development of plans, policies, and regulations that balances the goals of clean water with the need for a healthy economy. We continue that fight today!
