About AAAS Center for STEMM Education & Workforce
The Center for STEMM Education & Workforce at the American Association for the Advancement of Science collaborates with partners across education, industry, and government to ensure that all people—regardless of background—have the opportunity to pursue STEMM education and careers, contribute their talents, and drive innovation.
Our work spans K-12 schools, higher education, workforce development programs, and professional organizations to create lasting change. We focus on:
Expanding Access & Opportunity – Removing barriers so that everyone has a fair chance to engage in STEMM education and careers.
Strengthening Organizations – Helping institutions create policies and cultures that support a diverse and thriving STEMM community.
Fueling Innovation & Economic Growth – Ensuring the STEMM workforce reflects the full talent of our society, leading to greater scientific discoveries, economic competitiveness, and national security.
Our efforts support individuals and organizations in creating a STEMM ecosystem where talent from all backgrounds can succeed—enhancing scientific progress, strengthening industries, and improving lives.
