About Arkansas Department of Shared Administrative Services
The Department of Shared Administrative Services (SAS) was established in 2019 as the Department of Transformation and Shared Services, with the purpose of creating a more efficient government through exceptional service delivery and collaboration across the state government.
Act 205 of 2025 changed the name of the department to better reflect the agency’s purpose and mission.
The department comprises the Office of the Secretary, the Arkansas Geographic Information Systems Office, the Division of Building Authority, the Employee Benefits Division, the Office of Personnel Management, the Office of State Procurement, and the Office of State Technology.
