Overview

About DV Safe Phone

Too often, domestic violence victims are left without a working or untraceable phone - monitored, destroyed, or confiscated by abusers. Without a safe way to call for help, access support services or connect with loved ones, their risk increases dramatically.
DV Safe Phone exists to change that.
We collect and repurpose donated phones into safe, untraceable devices - each equipped with a charger and SIM card - and deliver them through a trusted network of over 547 agency partners, including police, shelters, hospitals, and DFV services.
Since 2020:
46,400+ phones donated across Australia
16,175+ DV victims supported with a safe phone
1,439+ public drop points now accepting phone donations
All unusable phones responsibly recycled through MobileMuster
This initiative turns unused tech into a measurable, scalable ESG impact—supporting victim-survivors while reducing e-waste landfill.
DV Safe Phone partners with businesses, councils and fleet-phone recyclers to run workplace drives, fund safe phone kits, and embed sustainability into social change.
Recognised as a Channel 7 Synergies Community Awards Finalist and Queensland iAwards Not-for-Profit Winner, we’re proud to offer a tangible way for corporate partners to help make safety possible - anytime, anywhere.
A second life for your phone. A safer life for someone in danger. Will you answer the call
