The ECO Club, BIT Sindri stands today as the sole and foremost environmental body of the institute, carrying forward a legacy that began in 1992. Rooted deeply in its vision of Engineering Sustainability, the club strives to integrate the principles of environmental protection with modern engineering education, ensuring that BITians emerge as professionals who understand not only the science of engineering but also the responsibility that comes with shaping the planet’s future.
With a strong team of dedicated members and volunteers, the club focuses on promoting eco-friendly practices, green energy awareness, waste management, and community engagement. Through activities like Sandharan – The BIT Sustainability Summit, ECO Wheel, Fact Friday, Grab Your Table Plant, and various technical and outreach sessions, the ECO Club empowers students to think critically, innovate responsibly, and contribute meaningfully to a greener future.
