Ecobarter is a full-stack circular waste management and technology development company that is redefining waste management in Africa. We operate a hyperlocal, technology-enabled ecosystem that transforms waste, one of Africa’s biggest urban challenges, into multiple streams of social, economic, and environmental value.

What we do:
We build & operate proprietary technologies and logistics infrastructure to collect wastes directly from households, monetise recyclable waste streams to increase recycling rates and enable people, especially underserved households use their wastes as a currency for essential micropayments. Recovered wastes are then transformed into different consumer and industrial products across relevant ecobarter WREP production sites.
