Overview

About Edmonton Police Commission

The Edmonton Police Commission is an independent, non-partisan
organization committed to making Edmonton a safe and vibrant city.

We are an apolitical board of governors providing civilian oversight of the Edmonton Police Service (EPS). We ensure there is separation between City Council and the EPS.

The Commission oversees the EPS and plays an important role in setting policy for effective community policing. Commissioners are appointed by the City of Edmonton and the Government of Alberta to represent and advocate for Edmontonians.

Commissioners are dedicated, experienced, and highly qualified professionals who bring a wealth of education, lived experiences, and unique perspectives to governance and oversight of the police service.
