Within the European Energy Research Alliance (EERA) ecosystem, the Joint Programme Wind drives forward the clean energy transition through its work in providing strategic leadership for medium to long-term research in the field of wind energy and supporting the European wind energy industry and societal stakeholders. Gathering major public research organisations in Europe, it aims to identify and bring about solutions to the pressing challenges facing the wind energy sector over the coming decades. For Europe, EERA Joint Programme Wind is a one-stop shop for public wind energy research and development (R&D), a platform for coordination of research facilities, data and human resources, and a driving force in maintaining Europe’s role as home to the world’s largest and most advanced wind turbine manufacturers and sub-suppliers.
