Ernest Haig Hassell and his sons established the business back in 1974
and the company remains to be a family-run concern.
EH Hassell and Sons are primarily focused on the supply of processing
machinery and mechanical engineering services to the Scrap Metal, Waste,
Ports, Construction and Quarrying industries.
In 1985 the company moved into its current premises in Trentham, Stoke
on Trent. The 2.3-acre site has a total of 36,000 sq. Ft. undercover. The
current owner, Ian Hassell, has worked at the company for over 35 years.
In 1998 Hassell’s became the Sennebogen dealer for the UK and Ireland,
selling material handlers into the Scrap Metal, and Waste industries, E H
Hassell & Sons remains the UK’s leading spare parts and service provider
for Sennebogen to this day.
In 2024 the company became the dealer for Terex Ecotec Waste Handlers, alongside their existing brands of Bronneberg, Guidetti, CMB and Exstel.
Hassell's also offer long and short term hire of material handlers.
